Chad Price is a Licensed Residential Builder in both South Carolina and North Carolina, OSHA 30 certified, who has spent 25+ years building homes in the Carolinas. He coaches homeowners through building their own home as owner-builders.
Who you'll be working with
Chad is still in the field. He runs active spec-home and renovation projects today, in your state, this year. When he tells you a bid is too high, a sub is cutting corners, or an inspection's about to fail, that's the field talking, not a textbook.
How the coaching works
- Map the route. A working session to pressure-test your project: budget, land, financing, and the honest question of whether you can realistically run this build.
- Gear up. The documents, the build sequence, and the know-how to vet and contract licensed subs, set up draw schedules, and pass inspections. You call before you sign anything.
- Build it, your way. You make the decisions and run your own build. Chad walks every step with you.

What Chad does and doesn't do
You stay the builder of record. You make the decisions, you hire the licensed subcontractors, and you run your own jobsite. Carolina Build Journey provides advisory coaching only. Chad doesn't pull your permit, run your jobsite, or act as your general contractor. That's exactly why you keep the markup a general contractor would charge.
