This policy explains how Carolina Build Journey, a service of CP Enterprises SC LLC ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use carolinabuildjourney.com, submit our contact form, or use the Owner-Builder Portal. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 864-567-8777.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us through the contact form: your name, email, phone, state, county/city, and the project details you choose to share (land status, budget range, timeline, what you'd like help with), plus whether you opt in to our newsletter.
  • Account & portal information (coaching clients): your name, email, a securely hashed password, and the content you add to your portal — photos, captions, notes, your subcontractor list, bid requests, agreements, and invoice records.
  • Information collected automatically: standard log data (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page) and analytics/advertising identifiers set by the tools below, typically via cookies or similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a call.
  • To provide coaching and operate the Owner-Builder Portal for clients.
  • To send the newsletter (if you opted in) and transactional emails related to your account.
  • To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
  • To show relevant ads to people who have visited our site (retargeting).

Service providers we share with

We use trusted providers to run the site and business. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and security.
  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (cookies, usage data).
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — ad measurement and retargeting (cookies).
  • SendFox — email newsletter list, if you opt in.
  • Resend — transactional and notification emails.
  • Calendly — scheduling your free call.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & your choices

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel use cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta ad settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you from using the site.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you (every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link). Email [email protected] and we'll respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we honor those requests where they apply. Again, we do not sell your information.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal reasons, then delete or anonymize it. The site is served over HTTPS and account passwords are stored only as salted hashes — we never store them in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Children

This site and service are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the effective date above when we do.
